A few things to know.
What counts as a device?
A computer, phone or tablet counts as one device. Different browsers on it count together, including private browsing. Choose a plan that covers the devices you regularly use.
Can I use a phone?
Yes. Open Redact in your phone's browser. A phone counts as one device, regardless of the browser you use. Large PDFs can take more time and memory on a phone.
What does the free trial include?
Unlimited PDF cleanups for 7 days on any plan, once per account. A card is required. After the trial, your selected monthly plan renews until you cancel. Cancel from your account before the trial ends to avoid the first charge. If you've used your trial, billing starts at checkout.
Does Redact send my PDF to a cloud AI?
No. Scanning, matching text and cleaning the PDF happen on your device. Redact doesn't send your document or the details you select to us or a cloud AI service.
Will it find every private detail?
Review every page before sharing. Automatic suggestions can miss details. Marking text searches for matching text in the PDF; it doesn't read scanned images. You can add or adjust areas by hand.
How does offline access work?
Let the local tools finish downloading while connected. Your signed-in browser can work offline for up to 24 hours after a successful access check, limited by the remaining paid or trial period. Reconnect to renew access.
Can I move to another computer?
Yes. Sign in on the new device and stop using the old one. Choose a larger plan if you use several devices regularly.
What changes in the cleaned PDF?
Redact makes a new PDF from cleaned page images. Text won't be selectable or searchable. Forms, links and digital signatures won't carry over. Always review the result before sharing it.
How do I cancel?
Open your account and choose Cancel subscription or manage billing. The billing page shows when your subscription will end.
